Installing a New Air Conditioning Unit
In homes without an existing air conditioning unit, Hunt’s Services will need to install new infrastructure throughout the residence. These new additions could include wiring, circuit breakers, and pipes, ensuring that everything in your home is up to code.
We’ll also make some adjustments to your home’s ductwork, connecting it to your air conditioner. This work is necessary because the air will move through your vents, much like it does when using your furnace.
Much of the installation will take place outside of your house, as we’ll place the unit on a concrete slab or some metal brackets beside your home. These systems are bulky and need to remove warm air from your building, so installing them outdoors is the only option.
The install of your AC in Gig Harbor is not a DIY type job, but Hunt’s Services can handle everything for you from start to finish. Contact us at 253-533-7500, and we’ll get started on your home as soon as possible. From there, it won’t be long until you have cool air moving through your house all summer long.
Replacing Your Existing Air Conditioner
Is your air conditioner no longer working as it should? In this situation, it’s a good idea to attempt a repair, as this can save you some time and money.
When an air conditioning repair doesn’t work, you might have to replace it to restore your HVAC system to its full capacity. The good news is that replacing an existing air conditioner is easier than a fresh install because you already have the ductwork, circuit breakers, and wiring in place.
Replacing an air conditioner begins with determining what size of unit you need in your home. Keep in mind that just because you already had an air conditioner, doesn’t mean that it was the right size. Not to worry, however, as Hunt’s Services will do the work for you, ensuring your air conditioner is large enough to meet your needs.
After we figure out the right size of air conditioner for your house, we’ll pull your old unit our and install the new one quickly and efficiently. We’ll also take care of any additional electrical work you require, so your new setup will be fully functional and entirely safe.
Going With a Heat Pump
Some homeowners don’t want to go with a full air conditioner installation, and there’s nothing wrong with that. In fact, we have heat pumps for such customers, which offer an energy-efficient cooling service without having to use the ducts.
Heat pumps are essentially ductless air conditioners that remove warm air from your home and replace it with cold air. The result is a cooler, more comfortable home. The best thing about heat pumps is that they use very little energy, keeping their operating costs low.
You can use a heat pump to provide warm air in the winter, as well, but keep in mind that since these systems don’t use your ductwork, each is only good for one room in your home.
