Job Title: HVAC Service Technician

Job Summary:

As an HVAC Service Technician at Hunt’s Services, you’ll diagnose and repair heating and cooling systems, guiding customers to well-informed and confident buying decisions.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Complete all general HVAC in-home service calls
  • Establish customer rapport to recommend the right products and services
  • Ask insightful lifestyle questions to troubleshoot heating and cooling system malfunctions
  • Educate and assist customers in selecting the best finance options and maintenance plans
  • Explain replacement opportunities for aging, inefficient, or underperforming systems
  • Understand service criteria and strive to exceed revenue goals
  • Collaborate with customer service and dispatch for overall business success
  • Maintain a clean, organized job site and a well-inventoried truck
  • Actively participate in training exercises, morning meetings, trade shows, and retreats
  • Train and mentor apprentices to ensure efficient, accurate repairs and installations
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of invoices, timecards, curbside feedback, and option sheets
  • Maintain regular, prompt, on-site attendance crucial for managing technicians and equipment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Knowledge of local HVAC codes and the ability to apply them on the job
  • Proven track record in heating and cooling systems, including the ability to draw simple diagrams and read blueprints
  • Clean driving record
  • Highly organized with exceptional follow-through abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in basic math and measurement conversions
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • At least two years of related experience required
  • Valid Driver’s License

Job Title: HVAC Install Technician

Job Summary:

As an HVAC Install Technician at Hunt’s Services, you’ll be responsible for installing new HVAC and furnace units for our customers. Additionally, you’ll play a vital role in training Install Apprentices to excel in HVAC installations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Install new HVAC units in residential buildings, ensuring efficiency and accuracy
  • Establish customer rapport to recommend the right products and services
  • Install ductwork and thermostats to control HVAC systems
  • Present yourself as a professional and knowledgeable expert to win new referrals and repeat business
  • Collaborate with customer service and dispatch for overall business success
  • Maintain a clean, organized job site and a well-inventoried truck
  • Actively participate in all training exercises, morning meetings, trade shows, and retreats
  • Complete accurate and timely paperwork
  • Ensure regular, prompt on-site attendance, crucial for physically installing equipment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answering phone calls promptly and courteously
  • Outbound calling for effective communication
  • Driving correct scheduling through phone interactions
  • Detailed documentation for Technicians before job completion
  • Callbacks to customers and assistance with online scheduling
  • Problem-solving to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Providing referrals for services not offered
  • Consistently delivering excellent customer service

QUALIFICATIONS:

$21.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Additionally, you’ll play a vital role in training Apprentice Plumbers to excel in their duties.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial and residential structures.
  • Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals.
  • Follow building plans and blueprints.
  • Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies.
  • Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems.
  • Prepare bids, budgets, and cost estimates.
  • Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed, and materials used.
